Sleep Out with Covenant House Illinois

Spend one evening getting to know some of the youth whose lives will be better because of your work - and spend the rest of the night sleeping on the street in their place.

When you Sleep Out - it means homeless youth don’t have to. Young people are changed by every interaction with someone who genuinely cares for them. The Sleep Out offers every participant the chance to be someone who cares. All the funds you raise are put to work immediately - providing food, clothing, medical & behavioral healthcare, individual & family counselling, job readiness training & placement, educational support, life skills development, and more.

Covenant House exists to provide these young people with safe shelter and wrap-around social services including education and job training so they can move forward to an adulthood free of violence, poverty, and the threat of homelessness.

Last year, our Sleep Out Champions raised more than $167,000 for homeless and at-risk youth in Illinois. Join CHIL, and Covenant House sites across the Americas, for a night of solidarity with homeless youth by sleeping out on November 15, 2018.
