Resources keeping youth safe

Covenant House is here for youth in crisis and those facing homelessness, ages 18 to 24. If you have no safe place to stay, we are here for you.
Young people who access CHIL services come from many different backgrounds. We welcome everyone regardless of race, religion, gender identity or sexual orientation.
Our professional and caring staff get to know you and give you the individualized support you need. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to give you the tools and skills to improve your life and build a future.

Our Youth Drop-In Center is open on:

Monday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Tuesday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Wednesday, CLOSED

Thursday, 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Saturday, 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM

Sunday, CLOSED

Experiencing Homelessness

 

  • If you or someone you know is experiencing homelessness, please go or direct them to the nearest hospital or police station for assistance with shelter.

  • Call 311. You will be directed the nearest pick-up point to be taken to a shelter or ask for Short-Term Help.

  • For information on emergency housing resources in suburban cook county, please visit the Cook County Continuum of Care website.
