Cassandra Howard
Director of Clinical and Support Services

Cassandra Howard is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with the State of Illinois and brings over 33 years of experience as a Clinical Director, Behavioralist, and Clinical Therapist. She is a proud member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Illinois Mental Health Counseling Association (IMHCA).
Cassandra has extensive training in a variety of areas, including Trauma-Focused Therapy, Attachment and Self-Regulation, Depression, Anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Grief and Loss, Domestic Violence, and Emotional Dysregulation. She is also a Certified Specialist in Clinical Child and Family Studies.
Cassandra believes that life experiences shape thought processes, which in turn influence behaviors. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a theoretical approach to problem-solving, she works to help individuals improve their overall functioning, one step at a time.
A client-centered approach, where the individual is the first priority, is at the heart of Cassandra's practice. She strives to create a non-judgmental therapeutic relationship where confidentiality is maintained throughout the process. Her years of experience have taught her that every person is unique and should be treated as such, which is why she tailors her therapeutic approach to meet each individual's needs.
