CHIL's inaugural School & Education Fair was held earlier this month at CHIL's East Garfield Park campus providing Youth with opportunities to pursue their educational goals!
Chamira Sankey, who joined the CHIL team this December as our new Employment & Education Manager, shares "The Education Fair was held during my first week at CHIL and it was such a joy to see so many of our youth eager to learn about the education services from our vendors on site".
Dozens of young people attended the education fair, many with interest in enrolling in postsecondary opportunities at Malcolm X College as well as the Tukiendork Training Institute (TTI) and its medical training program.
"The Workforce team is looking forward to having both the school fair and career fair again next year, bringing in different vendors that are tailored to the interests of our youth" explains Chamira. "We are also aiming to put together a career panel next year so stay tuned for that!"
