Dear Friends,
I am thrilled to share with you the incredible news that Covenant House Illinois (CHIL) has successfully completed our $11.5 million capital campaign, The Campaign for Youth Potential. This monumental achievement not only signifies the culmination of years of hard work and dedication but also marks the beginning of a new chapter in our mission to serve young people experiencing homelessness.
The outpouring of support we have received throughout this campaign has been nothing short of extraordinary. Our supporters’ generosity has been the driving force behind our ability to reach our campaign objective and complete the renovations to our transformational campus. Your belief in our mission and your commitment to the well-being of our youth in our care have made all of this possible, and for that, I am truly grateful.
This moment is about more than just bricks and mortar. It is about creating a haven where young people can find refuge, support, and hope for a brighter future. It is about providing youth with the resources and opportunities they need to thrive and succeed. It is about transforming lives and empowering our youth to reach their full potential.
I want to extend a special thank you to our dedicated Board of Directors, whose unwavering commitment and 100 percent participation in the campaign have served as both an example and an inspiration to us all. It was their vision, articulated more than five years ago, that set us on this path towards realizing the full potential of Covenant House Illinois. Today, we can proudly say that this is "potential" realized.
As we celebrate this momentous achievement, let us also remember the countless young people whose lives will be forever changed because of your generosity. Together, we are making a difference, one life at a time.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your continued support and belief in our mission. I look forward to the incredible journey ahead as we continue to serve and empower young people who walk through our doors.
With deepest gratitude,
Susan Reyna-Guerrero, LCSW
