Staff Spotlight: Destiny

We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone in the professional journey of our Outreach and Aftercare Case Manager, Destiny. She has recently graduated from Aurora University, earning her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. This remarkable achievement is a testament to her dedication, hard work, and passion for social work and community engagement. 

Destiny has been an invaluable part of our team, consistently demonstrating her commitment to helping others and making a positive impact in our community. Her new credentials will undoubtedly enhance her ability to serve and support our clients more effectively. 

"I believe in being the change that I want to see; by doing so, I plan to continue my work here as the Outreach and Aftercare Case Manager and eventually transition into providing therapy," says Destiny. This powerful statement reflects her deep commitment to making a lasting impact in our community. 

Destiny's journey is particularly inspiring as she is a first-generation graduate, having earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees. Her dedication to education and professional development is a source of pride for all of us. 

In addition to her academic achievements, Destiny has served as a Human Resources Officer in the Army Reserve since 2017, further demonstrating her leadership and commitment to service. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, doing make-up, and spending quality time with her family, friends, and her daughter, her "mini-me." 

With her MSW, Destiny is now even better prepared to lead our outreach programs, develop innovative strategies to address community needs, and advocate for the well-being of those we serve. Her advanced education and training will help us expand our outreach efforts, build stronger community partnerships, and provide more comprehensive support services.
